In addition to our afterschool Enrichment Classes and CAIS Athletics, we are pleased to be able to bring a third offering to the mix—club sports! We are excited to invite students to participate in CAIS Tennis Club for 5th-8th Graders, a citywide club-level program beginning January 2025.
Join the CAIS Tennis Club and take your game to the next level! Our program is designed for green ball level players and yellow ball level players who are looking to learn match-play and to enjoy the sport in a supportive environment.
Players must know how to rally and keep score. Players will have one practice per week with tennis matches on Sunday during match season. They will learn and play both singles and doubles. The 12U team will consist of 11 & 12 yo and the 14U team will consist of 13 & 14 yo. We must have a minimum of 6 players for each age group to start a team.

Grades: 5th through 8th Grade
Location: SF State Tennis Courts (State Drive at Lake Merced Boulevard) with shuttle transportation provided to/from CAIS for weekday practices only (see below for more details)
Club Fee: $1,710 includes:
- 17 practices
- shuttle transportation to/from between CAIS and tennis courts for weekday practices
- match day fees
- team tees
Schedule Details
- Season Duration: January 13, 2025 through June 7, 2025 (19 weeks)
- Practice Days Starting the week of January 13, 2025(must choose one):
- Green Ball Players – Mondays, Wednesdays, Saturdays
- Yellow Ball Players – Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays
- Practice Times: 4:00-5:30 p.m. on weekdays and from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. on Saturdays
- Make Up Days: There will be a two-week window at the end of the season for make ups.
- Competition Season: Players must commit to matches on Sunday which will begin approximately mid-Feb through April. A detailed schedule will be provided when the schedule is finalized. In past seasons, green ball matches have been held at 1:00 p.m. and yellow ball matches have been held at 3:00 p.m.
