Our artists have begun collaborating and expressing themselves through a variety of engaging activities and projects. Seventh and eighth graders explored synesthesia in art through a collaborative Mystery Box drawing activity, in which artists drew unseen objects solely using their sense of touch. Eighth Graders are investigating movement in art through Movement Sculptures, using diverse materials such as wood, nylon, wire and paint. Seventh Graders are preparing for their Portrait project by studying shading techniques in their sketchbooks. Stay tuned for the sixth grade Cave Painting project, in which our new middle schoolers will collaborate with their Humanities course to create a large-scale cave painting installation!
