Genny Elias-Warren
Seventh and Eighth Grade Science Teacher

Originally from the East Coast, Ms. Elias-Warren grew up in Detroit before moving to a working farm in rural Virginia. She has a bachelor’s in mass communications with a minor in English and a dual Master’s of Teaching in K-8 education and special needs education. She has been teaching since 2004 first in the post-secondary environment and then in middle schools in New York, New Jersey and Washington states. Ms. Elias-Warren did a year-long study with NASA to become a NASA BEST educator and studied with NOAA on climate change. Ms. Elias-Warren was with us from 2019 until 2021 teaching lower school and has eagerly returned to join the middle school.
Ms. Elias-Warren has two children, a son and daughter. Her son is in technology, and her daughter just finished her master’s in public health, epidemiology. When not teaching or spending time with her children, she loves to garden, knit, hike and run for charity.
