Cindy Huang
Fourth – Eighth Grade Chinese Music Teacher

Xinyi (Cindy) Huang is from Yangzhou, China. She has teaching experience from PreK to 12th grade and also worked as a full-time music teacher in Maryland, responsible for general music, choir, band, and orchestra instruction. She holds a Maryland teaching certificate and has Orff and Kodály music teaching certifications. Her primary instrument is voice, and she has performed many opera pieces and art songs. In her free time, she loves traveling, trying new things, tasting different cuisines, watching sports, and playing pool. She is particularly fond of Yoga, Pilates, and dance, and is currently learning African dance. Making life interesting is one of her favorite things. As an ENFP personality type, she enjoy making friends and socializing. Furthermore, she is passionate about her work, loves building relationships with her students, and enjoys sharing the joy of music with them.
Jonathan Rosen
Fourth–Eighth Grade Studio Art Specialist
Began at CAIS 2022
A San Francisco native, Mr. Rosen studied Film at Bard College before moving to New York City to pursue animation and music. For the past 7 years he has been living in Los Angeles, working as an artist, musician, and arts educator. In 2022 he completed his Masters in Teaching at Pepperdine University, and is thrilled to return to his favorite city in the world to join the CAIS community as a studio art teacher. In his free time he is a contributing cartoonist for the New Yorker, plays basketball, and enjoys camping with friends.
Ms. Taylor
Preschool–Third Grade Studio Art Specialist
BEGAN AT CAIS: 2020
Ms. Taylor is a San Francisco based artist and experienced elementary school teacher. Her two greatest passions are education and art. She gets to fuse them together to teach art to young students here at CAIS. Ms. Taylor’s main goal is to create a safe space for each and every student to grow as an artistic life-long learner. When she isn’t teaching, she enjoys water coloring, collaging and making mixed media sculptures. She also loves spending time with her son Forrest and her dog Claude.
