Spectacular Sendoff for Class of 2024

Eighth Grade Graduation 2024
Former Carroll Family Learning Center Coordinator Cassy Lee and Alumni Speaker Ross Hills ’20 joined the Grad Night festivities.

Continuing one of the oldest traditions at CAIS, the Class of 2024 attended Grad Dinner on the evening of June 10 in the 19th Avenue Dance Studio. This event, hosted by the seventh grade Class of 2025 and their parents, celebrates the graduating class through individual speeches given by their teachers detailing the students’ decade as Firedragons. The Class of ’24 was inducted into the CAIS Alumni Association by Ross Hills ’20, and was then lauded by their teachers in 34 warm-hearted speeches describing the talented, funny, and creative individuals of the graduating class.

Eighth Grade Graduation 2024

The 2024 CAIS Graduation was held on the evening of June 11 in our new campus theater. In addition to musical performances by Sydney L., Annica W., and Samantha M., those in attendance heard from CAIS Board Chair Christopher Tom who shared with the graduates the value of their CAIS education, how the CAIS Core Values will help inform their future life, how they will benefit from the school’s focus on team projects, and that they are that much ahead of their peers as they head off to high school as a result (see the list of class destinations here).

Head of School Jeff Bissell addressed each of the 34 graduates individually, commenting on their strengths and uniqueness as he shared delightfully funny stories about their time together in Guilin. Mr. Bissell also made sure the class knew that while they are graduating before we move, the new campus is still very much theirs and they are welcome at any time. To reinforce this, we presented each graduate with a piece of the building mounted on a ceremonial wood plaque (shown to the right).
