One of my favorite spring activities at CAIS is Cap and Gown Day, the kickoff event of the CAIS graduation season. Begun in May 2015 when then Middle School Assistant Nell Wolner and I decided to have all of the Class of 2015 try on their caps and gowns to make sure they fit before graduation, many of the students in attendance asked if they could take pictures of themselves and their classmates in their caps and gowns. This led to us formalizing the event the following year with the students and parents of the class of 2016 and nine years later the tradition has grown and continues. This year’s C&G Day took place this week, and as with previous events, included individual pictures, a whole class picture, and the frequently hilarious Parent Group Picture.
