On Thursday, May 1 the Herbst Foundation presented Chu-Sheng Liao Tang as the recipient of the 2008 Herbst Award for Teaching Excellence. The award recognizes 6-8th grade teachers in San Francisco who have demonstrated a commitment to excellence in the classroom. Recipients of this award are exceptional teachers who have brought dedication, commitment, creativity, and innovation to the profession of teaching, and who have inspired the joy of learning in their students.

Tang Lao Shi, middle school Chinese Language Arts and Social Studies teacher, has long been one of CAIS' most excellent and prized educators. She has been with CAIS for over ten years. Congratulations, Tang lao shi!
