Ensuring the Future of CAIS

In the coming years, the most critical issue for CAIS will be building financial security. The CAIS endowment is currently $1.4 million, modest when compared to other Bay Area independent Pre K-8 schools. As more families seek the rewards of a Mandarin immersion education and as our student body grows, CAIS will be challenged to keep pace. Building a strong endowment ensures our ability to keep faculty and staff salaries competitive so that we can attract and retain qualified teachers. Endowment funds also increase the school’s ability to offer tuition assistance to ensure an economically diverse school community. The future of CAIS depends on the growth of our endowment.
