Kids Art They also participate in community art exhibits and events such as the San Francisco Youth Arts Festival at Yerba Buena Gardens. Components of our art program include:

  • Production of art works in the studio
  • Careers in art

Music and movement

CAIS students learn to express themselves creatively while celebrating the music and dance of cultures around the world. Our new performing arts space is equipped with a sprung floor for dance and movement.

Ribbon Girl

Music and movement are introduced in our PreKindergarten classes. Using the Orff Schulwerk approach, students learn through speech, poetry, movement and dance, games, drama and song, improvisation, and playing simple-pitched and un-pitched percussion instruments.

Students showcase their talents in various music productions both in and outside the school. All students participate in an all-school production at the Herbst Theater. Students also are invited to perform at community functions, such as the San Francisco Symphony and Asian Art Museum Chinese New Year celebrations.
